For the starting time few steps, don't press down too difficult with your pencil. Utilise light, smooth strokes to brainstorm.
Step 1: Describe a circle nearly the middle of the folio as a guide for the forepart part of the running horse's body. First make four marks to determine the circumvolve'due south elevation and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. If you're struggling to depict the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a money or a lid. For a more detailed guide on the different ways to draw a circumvolve check out this tutorial: Four simple ways to describe a circle.
Step two: Above the circle, off to the right, draw another circle as a guide for the equus caballus'south caput. Use the 4-marks method to depict this circle too. This circle should be virtually one-fourth the size of the beginning ane. Don't draw the circles too close to each other. Leave a gap between them for the horse's muzzle and neck.
Footstep 3: Below the circumvolve for the head, a bit off to the right, draw a smaller circle equally a guide for the equus caballus'south muzzle. This circle should be nearly one-third the size of the head, and it should be pretty close to the trunk circle.
Step 4: Connect the circles at the top using two curved lines to complete the guide for the horse'due south head. Curve the line on the left to create the shape of the jaw.
Pace five: Depict a long, vertical line across the entire caput as a guide to help you place the equus caballus'southward facial features later. Draw a curved, horizontal line beyond the centre of the pinnacle circle for another structure guide.
